EVA Air adds A350-1000 and A321neo aircraft

EVA Air has ordered six A350-1000 and three A321neo aircraft to strengthen its long-haul and regional operations.

Taiwanese carrier EVA Air has confirmed a firm order for six Airbus A350-1000 and three A321neo aircraft, following a Memorandum of Understanding signed in March 2025. With this agreement, EVA Air’s backlog now includes 24 A350-1000s and 18 A321neos.

“This order reflects our commitment to sustainable aviation and providing an exceptional travel experience,” said Clay Sun, President of EVA Air. “The A350-1000 and A321neo are industry leaders in efficiency and passenger comfort.”

The A350-1000 is Airbus’ most advanced widebody aircraft, offering a range of up to 18,000 kilometres and fuel savings of 25% compared to previous-generation aircraft. It is currently certified to operate on up to 50% Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF), with Airbus aiming for 100% capability by 2030.

The A321neo, part of the A320neo Family, features new engines and Sharklets, delivering at least 20% fuel savings. Since its entry into service in 2016, more than 6,800 A321neo aircraft have been ordered, giving Airbus an 80% share in this segment.

“This order highlights the growing appeal of the A350-1000 for long-haul missions and the A321neo as the leading aircraft for regional routes,” commented Benoît de Saint-Exupéry, Executive Vice President Sales at Airbus.

With these additions, EVA Air reinforces its global network while investing in a more sustainable and efficient fleet.
