SkyWest orders 60 Embraer E175 jets with options for 50 more

At the 2025 Paris Air Show, Embraer announced a significant order from SkyWest, Inc. for 60 E175 aircraft, valued at approximately $3.6 billion at list prices. The agreement also includes options for 50 more jets, potentially bringing the total order to 110 aircraft.

Deliveries are scheduled to commence in 2027, reinforcing SkyWest’s position as the largest operator of Embraer E-Jets globally. The E175 aircraft are expected to support SkyWest’s operations across its partner airlines, including United Express, Delta Connection, American Eagle, and Alaska SkyWest.

The Embraer E175 is a regional jet designed for short to medium-haul routes, offering seating for up to 76 passengers. It is known for its fuel efficiency, performance, and passenger comfort, making it a popular choice among regional carriers in North America.

This order underscores the continued demand for the E175 in the U.S. market, where scope clause restrictions limit the size of aircraft operated by regional carriers. The E175’s compatibility with these regulations makes it a strategic asset for airlines seeking to optimize their regional networks.

Embraer’s President and CEO of Commercial Aviation, Arjan Meijer, commented, “The E175 is the backbone of the U.S. regional market, and this order from SkyWest highlights the aircraft’s enduring value to our customers.”
